Kahindi is an advocate of the High Court and has experience in election and governance, women and land rights, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), and counselling. She has advocated for women, children, and youth rights by litigating for the public good.

Kahindi is also a guru in the maritime sector, having studied Maritime Security Law and Maritime Sector and Blue Economy. At the Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA), she pushed for policies friendly to women and youth. Additionally, she worked at the Association for Women in the Maritime Sector in Eastern and Southern Africa (Womesa).
