Youth Interreligious Dialogue Forum https://muhuri.org/2023/04/14/new-post-2/ https://muhuri.org/2023/04/14/new-post-2/#respond Fri, 14 Apr 2023 11:30:00 +0000 https://muhuri.org/?p=19401 On Thursday, April 13, 2023, MUHURI through the Kenya Electoral Conflicts Mitigation and Civic Education Support Program (ECCES ) funded by USAID through Act! conducted a Youth Interreligious Dialogue Forum at Holistic Church in Bamburi Ward Kisauni Sub County.

The interreligious dialogue forum attended by 50 influential youths sought to address religious differences that have continued to make youths vulnerable to manipulation by politicians to cause violence and promote peaceful coexistence.

The forum also provided an opportunity to enlighten the youths on the importance of participating in different democratic processes in the county, including the ongoing Mombasa County CIDP public participation forums.

Through the ECCES program, MUHURI aims to ensure peace in our communities even after the just concluded general elections despite efforts to disrupt the same. We appreciate our partners in Kisauni, religious leaders, youth groups, CBOs, and NGOs who have complimented our efforts in advocating for peace in our community. #ECCES
